Our speaker for the evening is Mike Blietz of Exotic Orchids of Maui.

Mike will speak on orchid varieties that can be used in the landscape and how to successfully plant and grow them. Mike and his wife Carol have been growing and breeding orchids for over 30 years and are very knowledgeable about all species and varieties of orchids. Many of their orchid crosses have won American Orchid Society Awards for the flowers they have produced. Their plants are sought after by collectors from all over the world. Mike recently introduced a new orchid species that can be planted right in the ground, which makes it suited for our landscapes.

Their will be a raffle for orchids at the end of the meeting
